He and Cornell had a blast together over Thanksgiving break. I took some pictures of them wrestling, and of course Cornell kissing all over him. He can't keep his lips off of him! It is hard to get a good picture of him though because he is now making some cheesy smile whenever he sees the camera. Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

Horrible blogger
I am a horrible blogger. It has been almost 2 months since I updated! So much has happened I don't even know where to start. Drake pulled himself up for the first time on November 9th, when he was only 6 1/2 months old.

Pictures!
Drake's 6 month pictures are up on the website. He wasn't in a very good mood so there aren't many with him smiling, but she set up some pretty cute props! Here is the website and password.

6 months
So Drake was 6 months on the 21st. He's halfway there to the big 1! At his appointment he weighed 22lbs 9 oz, and was 28 inches long. 100% for weight, and 90-95% in height, so he's a big boy all together!
We were also told when he was born, that they would like to do an ultrasound on his kidneys because of his skin tags, so we went to the hospital and did that. The sonographer said that he was a great, and that most babies cry the entire time, but he didn't! He, of course, just tried to grab the wand and help her. The test came back normal though, so there's nothing wrong with his kidneys!
Dr. Mcdaniel also said that if we want to, then he can get his skin tags taken off at 1. We could go to Children's Mercy, or KU med if we want them off before then, but he hasn't noticed them yet, and they don't bother me so I'm not in any hurry.
He has also been army crawling for about 3 weeks. It is the cutest thing, but he's also into EVERYTHING. He's such a trouble maker!

So Much has happened!
I haven't posted for quite a while. A lot has happened since then. Drake is all over the place. You may lay him on a blanket on the floor, and he is off of it within a couple of minutes. He sits up all by himself now also, which is really helpful when it comes to bath time! He also went through a little sickness with Aunt Shelbi. I took him to the doctors last Monday, and he was tested for H1N1. They called me a little later and said that it came back positive. Very scary! Since he is so young, there wasn't anything we could give him. We just had to make sure he rested a lot, and that he was drinking something at all times. His fever was gone by Wednesday, but his cough was getting worse. I took him back to the doctor on Thursday, and she said that he now had bronchitis. She gave me a breathing treatment machine and told me to do that with him 4 times a day. It has been a long week and a half, but I'm very glad he is getting better. It was hard seeing him so miserable.
At his appointment on Monday, he was 21 pounds and 27 inches. On Thursday, he was 21 pounds 2 oz, and 27 1/2 inches. He's a big boy. But of course we have known that for a while!
We also had a new development this morning. I gave him a bath and put him in his bed to play while I got him some clothes together. When I turned around to take his clothes back over there...I saw him staring back at me! He had actually pulled himself up and was on his knees! What a strong guy!
It was also Cornell's birthday on the 1st, and we made a little sign for him!
He then started to chew to on it.
And here's a few other pictures I thought were cute!

4 month appointment!
Today was Drake's 4 month appointment. He weighed in at a whopping 19 lbs 7 oz and was 25 1/2 inches long. He was off the charts for weight, and was in the 75th percentile for height. He also has reflux so he now has a prescription for zantac, so hopefully that will work!

3 month pics
On Wednesday we went and had Drake's 3 month picture's taken. He was in a pretty good mood but just didn't want to smile. He was too distracted by the pretty flash! If you guys want to see them go to www.magicwandphotography.com click on Drake Walls, and the password is damon. I don't think she put all of them on there, but there are some pretty cute ones!

3 months!
So, today Drake is a whole 3 months old! He isn't doing anything much different, but he now LOVES to look at himself in the mirror. He also got his first haircut yesterday. More like a trim, but he was starting to look like a homeless person, and since he has his 3-month pictures tomorrow, we had to get rid of that! He looks so clean now, like a little man! He can also sit all on his own for short periods. I think it might be because he leans forward, and his giant belly stops him from going forward! He even tries to get up on his knees like he is going to crawl, but his legs aren't strong enough. We have a few more months for that. I have a video, and some pictures to enjoy!
Nana got him a new lovey and he LOVES it!
He had just had a bath so his hair was a little crazy. He's still a little stud!

2 month appointment
So the little man is a whopping 12 lbs 14 oz, and 22 1/4 inches long! I had to take him out to the hospital to get an echo-cardiogram and a chest x-ray afterwards because the doctor noticed he had a heart murmur. He said it probably isn't anything to worry about but he does this with all his patients when he sees this for the first time. The test results will be back tomorrow, so hopefully all is well! We also didn't have time to get his shots because he wanted us to go to the hospital today, so that's the duty for tomorrow. Not looking forward to it at all!

Baby Model
Many of you may know, but when I was in the hospital I had a bit of a crazy nurse, very nice of course though! She absolutely fell in love with Drake. She asked if she could take pictures of him with a blanket and hat that her friend and her knit, then sell. Of course I said yes, I mean she told me I have the cutest baby ever, I couldn't deny her! She came back a little bit later and said, "These pictures turned out great, and I just had to show you guys them. He should be a baby model. He IS a baby model." Cornell and I looked at each other like she was crazy then laughed about it later!
Well, today I finally found the piece of paper she gave me with the web site, and I have to admit, the pictures are pretty cute! I definitely have to share!

2 months!!!
Today is Father's Day and Drake is exactly 2 months old. VERY exciting!
He really isn't doing anything new besides smiling alot more! He loves to watch himself in the mirror and watch the animals on his mobile. I also bought him a play mat and he just lays on the floor and kicks around on that and stares at the lights. It's very cute!
I weighed him at Jill's house today and he was 12.5 lbs, so right on track! His 2 month appointment is on Wednesday and he will be getting weighed, measured, and unfortunately some shots. I might have Cornell take him for that though because I'm not sure if I will be able to handle it! I almost started crying when he was a week old and had to get his heel pricked. Very traumatic!
He also had his first sleepover at Nana and Papa's this weekend. After 2 months, I had never been away from him for more than an hour, so my mom offered to watch him for the weekend. It was a much needed break but I definitely missed him. I called quite a bit to check on him, and when I got there to pick him up I couldn't take my hands off of him
Here are some pictures taken in the last few weeks!
We were watchin TV together--Untold Stories of the ER--Future Doctor!!!
First smile I got on Camera. He does not like the red light that comes before the picture! Showing off his crazy, untameable hair!

6 weeks!
So I finally found the cord to my camera so I can get some pictures up! My mom is always asking why I don't update it more. Well...he isn't really doing anything different! He is starting to smile though and I did catch one on camera! We also visited with all the cousins and I got some pictures with cousins Maddie and Ty. Cole wasn't very cooperative the day I tried to get some of him and Drake. But here are some pictures for your enjoyment! Nana with the youngest boys. Maddie was all over them. Poor little guys! The boys telling secrets. Whatever Ty said must have hurt Drake's feelings!Drake looks scared for his life, and Ty looks like he's saying, "What am I gonna do with her?"

1 Month!
Drake is officially 1 month old today! There really isn't anything new with him besides that he's awake alot more but still sleeps alot too. He has a very strong neck already and loves his tummy time. You can tell he's trying to be more mobile he's just too small still. He also gets very frustrated when he can't move anywhere!
We still haven't decided what color his eyes are. Sometimes they're blue and others they're brown so maybe he just won't have a set color! All we know is they're definitely big and wide and he's putting them to good use. He is able to focus in on us more clearly now and he is starting to really recognize daddy and my voices. When he hears us talking he's looking around to see where it's coming from!
We've gotten a couple of smiles out of him. My dad got him to smile the other day and Cornell had him laughing about a week ago, but that's really it. He does love to smile and laugh in his sleep though. We've decided he's dreaming about puppies and rainbows! Haha.

Test Results
The Pediatrician's office called yesterday and said that Drake's test results for the Congenital Hypothyroidism came back normal!

2 Weeks!
Drake had his 2 week appointment this morning. He weighed in at 6 lbs 12 oz and was 19 1/4 inches. So he gained 10 oz and grew a whole 1/4 of an inch since we left the hospital! Dr. McDaniel said to leave his skin tags alone, that they were big enough to worry about infection and bleeding if they were to try and take them off right now. His test results weren't back yet for the Congenital Hypothyroidism, but that they should be within the next day or 2 but that he doubts it will come back abnormal again. I'll update when we get the news!
Here's a few recent pictures to go along with this!

Drake's Birth Story
On Sunday, April 19th at 2:30 in the morning I went into the hospital after I fell heading into the bathroom and didn't feel him move for 30 minutes. After watching me for an hour, they saw I was having irregular contractions so they decided to watch me for another 24 hours. On Monday the 20th, Dr. Shaw came to check on me, I was dilated to a "tight two" (I was at a 1 the day before) and I asked if we could go ahead and induce since I already had an induction date for just a week later. She agreed and started filling out the paperwork.
At 9:45 they gave me Cytotech (a pill to ripen my cervix) and by 11:45 I was having contractions 1-3 minutes apart. They started me on pitocin at 2:00 and at 3 they came in to give me my epidural. The first try they missed and put it in a blood vessel making a pain shoot down my right leg, my pulse shot up to 130, and I couldn't hear anything they were saying. They tried again 5 minutes later, and at 3:45 they were finished. At 4:00 I was 3 cm dilated, 70% effaced, and his head was "very low". At 5:10 the nurse turned the pitocin off and put me on an oxygen mask because the contractions were coupling and Drake wasn't getting a break, stressing him out and making his heartbeat drop. At 6:20 Dr. Shaw came in and broke my water and I was at a 4. Despite my water being broke, and the steady contractions, at 7:05 I was only 4 1/2 cm dilated. By 8:05 I was 5, and at 8:30 the pitocin was turned off because he was stressed again. At 10:10 I was still at a 5, and at 11:30 I was finally completely effaced but only at a 6. At 1:30 I was only at 6 1/2, and at 3:05 a.m I was at an 8 and had been having very strong contractions for over 2 hours. At 4:10 I was at a 9 with a bit of a lip and the baby was at a 0 station. I started pushing at 5:05 and at 5:49 a.m Drake DaMon Walls made his debut weighing in at 6 lbs 11 oz and 19 inches long.
Cornell cut the cord and they laid him on my stomach. I was so exhausted, couldn't breath, and the oxygen mask was actually making it worse and drying my throat and mouth out. They took him over to the warmer and cleaned him off, weighed him, and got his foot prints. Everyone came in and got their pictures to send to everyone, then left Cornell and I alone to spend time with our little man.
Drake is absolutely perfect. We got released on the 23rd and my mom, Chelsea, Cole, Jill, and Maddie were the first to visit us at home. Maddie wasn't too interested in him, but Cole was glad to have someone he could pick on since he got beat up on by Maddie! We have our first appointment with the pediatrician next week, and after losing 9 oz after birth, hopefully he will have gained most of it back!
